Drugstore
Manufactured medicines, priced within the CMED ceiling.
Manufactured medicines and off-the-shelf products come in by barcode, in the same product catalog as the rest of the pharmacy. Each price-regulated medicine carries the maximum consumer price (PMC) that CMED publishes for your state’s ICMS rate, and any sale above it is rejected. The sale goes through the counter register and gets an NFC-e or NF-e, like every ready-made product.
Anvisa registration, barcode, type (reference, generic or similar) and label stripe in the product record
PMC at your state’s ICMS rate, updated with each new CMED list
The pharmacy’s price is set by the person accountable for sales, always within the PMC
An up-to-date price list available to customers and to Procon, the consumer protection agency
Prescription medicines are only sold with the prescription, which the pharmacist reviews
Controlled substances only with the prescription the regulation requires, with record-keeping and submission to SNGPC

Programs and corporate agreements
Drug manufacturer discounts and purchases billed to the employer.
Drug manufacturers’ programs (PBM)
A customer enrolled in a drug manufacturer’s program gets the discount on the spot. Henrique checks the program with the customer’s CPF, records the authorization and the discount, and keeps the receipt with the sale.
Corporate agreements with companies
The partner company pays for its employees’ purchases at the end of the month. Each covered employee has the limit agreed with the company, and a purchase that would exceed it is rejected at the register.
Monthly invoice
At the close, Henrique prepares each company’s invoice, with the amount for each covered employee. Finance approves, and the invoice goes into accounts receivable.
Reconciled payouts
Payouts from drug manufacturers’ programs and Farmácia Popular go into the branch’s accounts receivable, and Leonardo reconciles them with the bank statement.
Farmácia Popular
Only at accredited branches, with authorization for every sale.

What stays with people
Henrique prepares. People dispense, set prices and approve.
01
Dispense the medicine
The pharmacist reviews the prescription and dispenses the medicine, through a program, a corporate agreement or Farmácia Popular. Counseling the patient is the pharmacist’s role.
02
Set the prices
The person accountable for sales sets the price of each medicine, always within the PMC, and approves the discounts and terms of each corporate agreement.
03
Approve the close
Finance approves each corporate agreement’s invoice before it goes to the company. Reversing a wrong sale is approved by the manager, and the original stays in the history.
